A Sculptural Round Table Defines a Private Dining Room
In 2008, the legendary Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, which originally opened in 1903, asked for the redesign of the hotel’s historic Harbour Bar, the site of the first licensed bar in the city, and Wasabi Restaurant for Chef Morimoto. A lot of reflective metals were used to give the restaurant a greater sense of spaciousness. The private dining room features a sculptural round table topped by an oversize custom pendant dome made of hammered metal inspired by the artwork of Anish Kapoor and Japanese table wear (miso soup rituals).
