Newsstand Inspired Coffee Bar by Day, Wine Bar by Night

Two Zero Three, the hotel’s corner café, evokes the best of fast-paced Italian beverage bars. The décor is understated so the space can smoothly transition from a cozy coffee shop during the day into a classy after-hours wine bar. The interior features hexagonal shaped ceramic tile flooring, a wood accent ceiling, and a zinc horseshoe shaped main bar clad in white tiles. The most important design consideration for this venue was to create a vibrant gathering place that would feel authentic to the neighborhood. In support of this idea, a local photographer was commissioned to capture iconic elements from around the neighborhood and people going about their day. These photographs reveal their relevance to tourists only once they discover the life outside and around the hotel.
